CIVIL SERVANT'S EXTOL HRMO BOSS MBANGURA 2/1/2022

CIVIL SERVANTS EXTOL HRMO BOSS

The Director General of the Human Resource Management Office, Ansu Samuel Tucker said HRMO nationwide outreach to civil servants is for them to better understand the operations of the civil service and to get firsthand information about their experiences in the service.

Addressing civil servants in Bonthe Municipality recently, Mr. Tucker informed them on some of the ongoing reforms in the civil service, such as the migration system; from clerical cadre to functional titles.

He said the titles of office cleaners and messengers have been transformed to office assistants and that clerks in the account offices are now titled account clerks and they can attain grade six instead of stopping at grade three.

The Director General also informed them that the procedure to pay retired civil servants their last month salaries together with their end of service benefits is in progress.

On the issue of salary disparities, Mr. Tucker intimated them about the Wages and Compensation Commission, which will address salary disparities after it has gone through parliament.

The civil servants at the meeting praised Mr. Ansu Samuel Tucker for being the first HRMO boss to interact with colleague’s civil servants to discuss issues pertaining the civil service.
