Mr. Ibrahim Sorie Kamara

Director of Corporate Strategy and Administration

Mr. Ibrahim Sorie. Kamara has a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree (Linguistics major and Literature Minor) Njala University 1998, a postgraduate Diploma in Mines Management in 2010, Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone and a Masters Degree in Public Administration at Njala University, 2018. He joined the Sierra Leone Civil Service in 1986 as Temporary Clerical Assistant (TCA) and posted to the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources and upon graduation he was later appointed as an Administrative Officer (Cadet) in 2002. He continued serving in the same Ministry until 2011 when he was posted as Senior Assistant Secretary to the Ministry of Information and Communications. Between 2013 and 2018 as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Works and Public Assets, he acted as Secretary to the Housing Allocation Committee and Secretary to the Contractors Registration Board. In May 2018 he was posted to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and served in that Ministry until November 2020 when he was promoted to Ag. Permanent Secretary and posted to the Human Resource management office as Ag. Director, Corporate Strategy and Administration.

As Ag. Director of Corporate Strategy and Administration, he plays key role in the Review of the Sierra Leone Civil Service Code, Regulations and Rules, and nationwide outreach programme of the Human Resource Management Office with support from the Government of Sierra Leone and European Union (E U).
