The Directorate of Performance Management in the Human Resource Management Office, (HRMO) is currently monitoring the 2022, Annual Individual Performance Appraisal System (IPAS) Review and setting of 2023 Individual Performance Targets for civil servants in grades 1 to 10 across MDAs. The exercise commenced on Wednesday, 1st to end on Tuesday, 14th February, 2023. According to the Acting Director of Performance Management, Mr. Chernor Issac Mansaray, IPAS was introduced into the civil service as a credible and dispassionate means of assessing the performances of civil servants in discharging their respective duties and a key determinant for promotion. Civil servants are obligated to fill the annual progress tracker and make available the IPAS forms(2022-2023) for inspection during the monitoring period. This is to ensure that the filled electronic copies of the 2022 annual progress tracker and the details of officers who have set their 2023 targets are ready for submission to HRMO on or before the monitoring exercise. It can be recalled that a couple of memoranda dated 10th November, 2022 and 19th December, 2022 were sent to all heads of MDAs for this monitoring exercise.
