Monday 29th July 2024, marks the commencement of a two-week long monitoring visit across MDAs by HRMO. This periodic activity is specifically carried out by the Directorate of Performance Management and it is meant to ascertain the level of compliance to the conduct of the 2024 Individual Performance Appraisal System (IPAS) Mid-Year review by Civil Servants in Grades 1-10. At the beginning of this year, this category of officers set individual performance targets with their supervisors committing themselves to deliver on the agreed targets. Thus, the Mid-Year review provides an avenue to measure progress made as well as challenges encountered in the course of delivering on set targets. Hence, part of HRMO’s role is to ensure that supervisors and appraisees comply with IPAS directives, and the monitoring visit is one mechanism meant to enforce compliance.
