The Director-General of the Human Resource Management Office, Mr. Ansu S. Tucker, on the Thursday 27th June, 2024 convened a special meeting with the Ministry of Finance and the Wages and Compensation Commission (WCC) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation’s Conference Hall. The intent of the meeting was to present for discussion the provisions in the revised Civil Service Code, Regulations and Rules that have financial implications, in order to provide some assurance and comfort for the Ministry of Finance in particular, that the revised Code will not place undue financial burden on Government during its implementation. In attendance were the Minister of Public Administration and Political Affairs, the Chief Executive Officer and Deputy of the WCC, the Principal Deputy Financial Secretary, other senior officers from the Ministry of Finance, the Accountant General’s Department, the Cabinet Secretariat and members of the Drafting Team of the revised Code. The meeting also sought to pave the way for obtaining the much-needed concurrence from both the Ministry of Finance and WCC, before submitting the revised Code to Cabinet for approval.
